Joined the military after high school.After being honorably discharged from the service I worked in the heating business for a few years. Realized I didn't like being called out for emergency repairs at all hours of the night/morning. Worked various driving, mechanical and construction jobs. Finally landed a job in the security/fire alarm/CCTV installation business. Worked mainly for big industrial/commercial/federal/DoD contractors. I absolutely loved this profession. I Was diagnosed with degenerative disc disease of the spine in the mid 90's, worked through the excruciating pain as long as I could. As the disease progressed work became too painful to continue without some sort of intervention. I had major back/spine surgery in "04". They installed two 12-inch titanium rods and 8 titanium lag screws with bone graphs into my lower spine to keep it from collapsing. Unfortunately it did not help with the pain.
